I am still in school. Here is how my career plan is going right now. Right now I am in 11th grade. I am also doing "Running Start" at the same time. Basically I go to High School and some college at the same time. Its not a university, just some community college. But it allows me to get an AA by the time I graduate from High School. So I will have my 1st two years completed of University while in High School. Saves Time and Money. But I can only go to University of Washington this way

Not the greatest university in the world, but its still pretty solid. I am thinking about doing really really well there and get done in 2 years. Then I am going to a top tier bussiness school. What do you I'll need to get there? And can I go there straight after or do I need like some work experience...

And is plan ok?

I am confused about Undergraduate college, Buss. School, MBA, and their importances....vs. each other

Any help?

First -- the University of Washington is a great university.

Second -- you can still go to any college you want -- but might have to do more than two years.

Third -- the part of your plan that is most likely to go wrong is your idea of getting an MBA right after you graduate. Most top MBA programs want you to have three to five years of work experience before they will accept you. And despite what anyone else tells you -- the top investment banks will not be very interested in you if you have an MBA from anything other than a top school.

The best idea is to get as good an undergraduate education as you can. Then try to get an Analyst position with an investment bank. That experience will help to get you into a good MBA program. Work for three or four years, get an MBA from a top school & then get an Associate's position at an investment bank.

Well, I think your wrong you can probably go to any university after HS, but besides that...

Take any major you like, but the best is would be some kind of Business major. Get very good grades as an undergrad, and study hard for the GMAT and take it the summer before your Senior year. Do an internship while an undergrad.

Most of the top tier B. Schools admit the majority of their MBA students without much "real" work experience. An internship will suffice.

Your GMAT score + GPA are the most important factors in an application that will also consist of recommedation letters and an essay.

I have a similar situation
Can you guys help on mine too

I also did this "Running Start" and am about to go to University of Washington. I already have my AA done, so I only need 2 more years in UW

I am thinking about majoring in Finance.

So am I good? I want to stick with U. of Washington because I will only need 2 years there. It was ranked 25th best Undergraduate school

If I do good there, like....(What do I need), will I become an investment banker?

So I need work experience 1st, or can I go straight to MBA?

I wish I could've gotten my first two years of college done while I was still in high school. Then it would've only taken me 8 years to get my B.S. instead of 10.
