Everytime I call medicaid the dumb *** that works there tells me something differant.
Here is my story...
I have been to the emergency room twice just to check on my baby because I have not been able to get my medicaid yet.
They need a proof of pregnancy note signed from a doctor, but they wont give you that in the emergency room....
First I brought medicaid my discharge papers from the ER that says im in my 1st trimester of Pregnancy, and my blood work that has my hcg levels on it...
That wasn`t good enough... So I had an ultrasound done at the ER last time and they gave me the written statement about my u/s which says my baby was 6 wks 3 days...and that the baby has a steady heartbeat of 122 beats per minute..
Why is that not good enough???
They say I have to go see a doctor and thats 300 dollars for a visit... not including the lab work.
It`s like they are stressing me out on purpose!!!!!!

Since you know your pregnant, go to that Dr.'s office and medicaid has to refund you the money. Call and make sure at the office. But I'm pretty positive they have to refund your money. Congrats and Good luck!

When I was pregnant I went through the same thing. You should be able to contact your local Health Department and go in for a quick, FREE and easy pregnancy test. Once the test is done they will give you a letter stating what the results are as well as the due date. This should be what you need to get your medicaid. In my case, it was a fairly simple and easy process. I wish you the best of luck.

When I tried to get medicaid, I called a doctor I wanted to go to and told them that I needed to get a pregnancy test to qualify and my test was free. Why don't you call around and ask a doctor's if they offer any for free. I haven't had that kind of trouble with medicaid before, regardless people shouldn't be rude to you, no matter what type of assistance you are applying for, they never know if they will ever need it. Maybe you should try to contact a supervisor as well.

Call and make an appt with a doc and tell them that you are "Medicaid Pending" and they should not charge you for the visit. Once you get the documents needed and get on Medicaid, bring or fax a copy to the doc and Medicaid will pay for services back 3 months.

Go to the health department they do free pregnancy tests and they will help you sign up for medicaid right there. My health department wants the first morning urine they tell you to keep it refridgerated untill you get there they will not do a pregnancy test if you don't bring your urine in a cup with you.
I wish you the best and I am sorry for your long wait I hope this helps.
If they don''t do them in your state then go to the doctor and don't pay the bill medicaid will go back 3 months.

Right. Complain about free healthcare, that I'M paying for. How insulting. Stop abusing the ER for unnecessary visits. Go to the health department. They can verify the pregnancy and process the paperwork for Medicaid.
You can't afford $300 for a doctor's visit, but can afford a $3,000 ER visit?

It doesn't matter if you hate Medicaid or not it is necessary. For you and your baby. I hated Welfare for 6 years but I didn't have a choice. I lived with it and raised 3 kids cause their dead beat father would not pay the child support.
Sometimes you have to do what is best for the children not what you want. Think of your baby not your own selfish needs.

you can just go to an ob clinic and have a pregnancy test done. you just have to call them. You can tell them that medicade wants proof. All you need is a test or a papper with you estimated due date with his signature.
I had to have it done so my husbands boss would belive him
thats what did and they did a blood test or a regular test, i didnt have to see a doctor. You can ask them to have the doctor sign an verify that it is a true document.
Dont stress out, its not good for the baby or your health

So enable's get busy." The gadget CAN artwork. i visit offer one get jointly from my personal kinfolk. till FDR's New Deal, my moms and dads were tenant farmers in the deep south. The Bankhead Farm Tenant Act of 1937 allowed my moms and dads and others like them to get loans to purchase farms, merely by testimony to their good personality by favourite contributors of the community. This became no longer charity or welfare. My moms and dads borrowed the money and paid each and every dime of it back ten years early. Many others had an similar experience. It took exertions to make it artwork. Many were given the loans then lost their farms because they could no longer make a fulfillment of farming ... which turned right into a desperately complicated thanks to make a residing. Our united states is an exceedingly good united states; and it really is an exceedingly good united states because it has tremendous human beings in it. the topic matters we are dealing with are tremendous. merely because this answer or that one isn't applicable isn't a reason to stop attempting to augment issues.
