Me and my best friend have been close for 3 years. He's the one i can talk to about everything and i'm the only girl that can "open him up" (pretty lucky to have that considering the fact he's the "shy boy" private-person type). He's liked me all this time and just recently i started to develop feelings for him. We care for each other deeply but decided that if the right time came, it would just happen - no rush. Recently, we just lost someone we knew - he was very close to him. I know i'm not being a pushover and i don't wanna annoy him so i would (now and then) call and txt to see how he's doing.

It's been a week since we last "talked" - it was only for 2 minutes and he said he was gonna call but never did. He's the shy guy type and i know he's waiting for me to call him but it's hard for me to because i'm not the agressive type - i don't wanna bug BUT i do want to be a good friend. how can i be there for him if i'm having issues myself? Why doesn't he call me? Should i cal him?

PS: i know that a guy will never call a girl just to "talk" and be vulnerable i feel that if i do call, he'll start talking right away....Alot of our friends have said that i'm the only person that can open him up...

do you think he's not calling because he's busy or does it have anything to do with me?

The last time i phoned him he seemed "happy" - he was with a group of friends - sooo if he's "happy", what's the point in calling?

The point in calling is because you truly care about him. You said yourself the both of you have been friends for around 3 years and he is shy. Some people just don't make phone calls, and he sounds like one of them. Also in a group of friends he might have sounded happy, but deep down he may not be able to relate with them like he does you. Sometimes we can laugh and such but still need that one person who we can talk to about anything.

The real question is coming to terms that you really like this guy and want him in your life.. Why dont you just tell him that you love him and take it from there.. I suspect after that, you probably will not have a problem anymore with him not calling you... :-)

If you are as close as you say you are you shouldn't feel uncomfortable calling at any time. Call him, he may be "needing" your support. Call just to tell him you know a lot has been going on and you were just calling to check on him. I bet he'll appreciate it.

Call or text him and tell him you're sorry about losing that person.

just call and ask if he would like to meet for coffee.

then slip something in his coffee and have your way with him afterwards,
