Both of these answers are good. Normally I wouldn't recommend singing anything from the play for which you're auditioning, (it's usually a no-no) but it seems you're fairly inexperienced and don't have much time. If you know something from HSM, do it.
Whatever you do, find something in your range, and make sure it's something you know *stone cold*. You need to sound as confident as you possibly can, and you'll only be able to do that with a song you know very very well.
High points and low points in the song are a good idea, but you must be confident with the song, first and formost, or else you'll sound mousey.
Good luck!!

32 bars of music is about 2 minutes. You'll need to make sure your music is clearly marks "Start" and "Finish" so the accompanist knows where to begin and end. Walk Away may be fine, but you have to look at whether or not the song is challenging enough to show off the vocal rangeof the character you want. Does the song go as high and low as everything Gabriella sings in the show? Does it show any personality? If you can, take some selections to a vocal coach for a private session to help prepare you for the audition and mark your music for you. Bring copies so he/she can mark them for you and not ruin your original music. Since HSM is a pop-musical, pop sings are ok, but normally you would sing from musical theatre shows and you still may want to consider doing that. Break a leg!

Ok i get your drift. A 32 measure is 1,2,3,4. 1,2,3,4. 32 times. and I don't think the Walk Away song would work. You need a song that is to you highest and lowest vocal capability. Maybe Phantom of The Opera. or grease something like that but make sure its an "up beat"(meaning quick, modern tempo) choise. so I would go to iTunes and look for some. Maybe even something from High School Musical too. maybe We're All In This Together

measures are the lines one the music with notes in between them. (if that makes any sense, I've bin in music so long I don't know how to explain, I'm sorry =( ) And it looks like they want an up-tempo from another musical so Walk Away would not work. Since you didn't indicate your rang or voice part I can't recommend any song but try asking friends who are singer and they can probably give you good ideas!
Break a leg =;)

nicely, of direction examining the e book could help...yet for my area it became a bad e book and specific not nicely worth a while. XD -inspite of the incontrovertible fact that that is stable to study up on what you would be performing I advise Spark Notes for a short synopsis. additionally, in case you be conscious of the character you're auditioning for, look up information on them besides. -In Huck Finn, the Dialect is best. whilst auditioning, emphasize Twain's use of southern slang, yet you may desire to apply stable diction and communicate of course. Oh, and don't be monotonous the two. and a few usually used recommendations for auditioning... -in case you screw up mid-audition, dismiss your errors and proceed including your scene. As an actor, you need to save the phantasm alive. -stay in character in any respect circumstances. -Eye touch! yet under no circumstances look on the director or aim audience. they are technically not there whilst your performing -in case you're given a scene by potential of the director, attempt to memorize it as much as you may. this way, you may concentration on playing your charcter to the better of your understanding, while not having to look on the paper as lots. -in case you need to prepare a scene, supply an creation. "hi, my call is -----. and that i'll be performing a monologue from----." once you're performed including your scene. pause a 2nd, and say "thank you" to the director and aim audience. wish it facilitates. stable luck on your audition. :)
