Lincoln was trying to save the union, at all costs, because he knew that the money changers wanted us split apart, in order to further their own agenda that much more easily! *sm*

Lincoln was a wise, introspective, eloquent man. Something George Bush does not appear to be. But like George Bush, Lincoln was also a politician. The politician in him made him label a war to end slavery as a war to preserve the union. Guess what. He did both.

Perhaps Lincoln would have gone to war against Iraq, seeing the greater good of ridding the world of a fascist dictator over the risk of lying to the American people and getting us into a quagmire. But I doubt it. A wise, introspective, eloquent man picks his battles carefully, carefully executes them, learns from his mistakes, and doesn't mind discussing them.

Lincoln was an imperialist thug. He would be Bush's biggest fan.

He didn't care about slavery - he offered to keep slavery legal in the south forever if the south agreed not to secede. The south refused, of course, because slavery wasn't the main issue - Independence was the issue. Lincoln only used slavery as a propaganda tool after the war was underway.
