While the procedure given by Kitten works, it is not necessary to store the file to "My Pictures" and it can be any where else also. When you compose the mail, tell your friend that you are sending the picture as an attachment and then click the attachment button, browse and locate the file (it should be a .jpg or .jpeg file), open it and then hit the attach button. When the virus checking process of yahoo is over, click continue to message or something like that and hit the send button. If you want, you can include your own email (same address or another email address) as a cc: and verify that the attachment has reached safely. Best of luck.
