Why not let our enemies duke it out?

Iranians are our enemy we have no relations with them.

But Saudis are our worse enemy, they pretend to be our friends.

Neither side would let the other control Iraq. We should let the Jihadists fight it out.

Both sides would lower oil prices to fund their war.

Our current candidates don't get it. Republicans want to overstay in Iraq even though Saddam is dead. Democrats don't truly appreciate world-wide threat of Jihad.

Any fellow Republicans agree that we should immediately pull out of Iraq and let the bad guys fight it out until the remaining "moderates" say enough-is-enough?

absolutely not. i believe that the whole civil war thing has been spun to give merit to the thought of pulling out of Iraq. though, i don't deny that there is sectarian violence.. but, there ALWAYS has been in that region. a centralized govt would be ideal..but.. Iraq was split into 3 provinces before the British colonized the area because they can't get along. i feel that this should be a viable option... but, pulling out should not be. you do that... you're asking for WWIII. we will be involved there anyway. why not try and make it work while we are there? you can't destroy a nations infrastructure, take out their leader (even a bad one), introduce them to a new way of governing, and do it all in 6 years. you can't do it. that's why we had such a constant military presence in Japan and germany after WWII for decades. you pull out before the job is completely finished, you leave the door open to sever consequences... just ask your grandparents what happened after WWI ... can anybody say... Nazis?

No because we need a strong democratic ally (Israel is the only other one) especially with Iran as a neighbor. And economically the oil is needed, like it or not. Until the people whom we elected to "serve our needs" opens up more oil drilling in and around the US, we need to look out for ourselves.

And who is to say that if we left, they wouldn't come after us? With our borders still barely protected (especially our harbors) you think that Jihadists wouldn't try to infiltrate if we tucked tail and ran? That would be the ultimate revenge.

Don't be niave, they wouldn't lower oil prices, they would rather hurt the Infidels, which include all of us.

Reality check please?
If that were to happen it would be rather disruptive to all economies of the world as oil supplies would be interrupted.
But then, maybe the blind liberals would finally recognize we truly are involved in a world war.
Go for it. THAT would be a reality check!
All the burning oil wells would add to global warming so be careful what you wish for.
