She wants one tower for her internet service only and the other for all of her games that she has downloaded. Possible? Is so, how? Thanks in advance! :)

aaaplayya, my mom has Hoyle games (3 cd's of them) on her computer. It makes it run terribly SLOW. That is why she wants two different computers. Her computer is quite a bit older (an HP) and she just purchased a brand new Dell. She doesn't want to take up all of the space on her memory with all of the games she has and they're not the type that you can just play while the disk is in....They have to be installed.

Clarified enough for you?

It is possible. You can use a KVM switch. It also means that you only need one mouse and one keyboard. You can switch between the two PC's by pressing a little keyboard shortcut.

Its called a KVM switch and it makes it so you can use the same monitor keyboard and mouse on one computer. They also used to make high end monitors that had dual inputs for 2 diffrent pc's then you would just push a button to switch between the 2.

Hi there,

Tell your mom to get a video switch box. It connects the two towers and she have a selector button to switch from tower A or tower B. It should be quite cheap and easy to install but do not forget the cables from the towers.

Good Luck

Your mom only needs one tower for both. You are talking about separate hard-drives, but you don't need separate hard-drives either.
Create a folder for all the game downloads..call it "games" and put them in there. (don't move them if they are already installed!)
Your system has only one " set of eyes" so to speak, and so do you..and that is via the monitor. I suggest you clarify these terms: monitor, hard-drive, and tower.

You can, but you need a switch to change from one computer to the other. ANd you cannot use both computers at the same time....you can, but you have to switch from one to the other, not both at once.

it could atleast get around 2 hundred besides, considering DDR is a lot extra costly to purchase, and not very many machines now use it. additionally that is a 2.0 GHz processor. yet i could save the exhibit screen no count if it is new and 19", i could additionally save the keyboard. Your could ought to like placed it on eBay or Craigslist. i could attempt and get you grandpa a like an Acer considering he won't be gaming on it to lots.

Yes it is possible but you need a switch (so you dont have 2 images at once) Ask a tech guy at your local CompUSA to get you one. Its really easy
