Don't let it stop you; the rivalry will serve as a distraction from bigger problems.

Listen, and this comes from a Michigan fan, college football, while fun to watch and easy to get riled up about, is not really very important to the grand schemes of the world. Little things like fundamental core beliefs and values and the direction you want to go in life are the things you base a relationship on. What does it matter if she likes your team's arch-rival...that's just stupid. Besides, if a republican senator and a democratic representative can be married and happy together for many years, why can't opposing fans?

Man, if you let a football team determine who you date, you got bigger problems than that. Look, if she is a great person who is what you want and are looking for in a woman, THEN GO FOR IT!!! I don't have to say if she's attractive, because you wouldn't be going after her if she wasn't right?
Case in point, I'm a hardcore Broncos fan, but I dated this girl who was a hardcore Raiders fan!! I KNOW! Crazy huh? THIS DOG GONE GIRL WAS FINE!! At first I was like you, didn't know if it could work out because of the rivalry. But after we started kickin it and havin a good time I came to see past that whole rivalry thing and her physical ASSETS!!(if you know what I mean!) to see what she was like on the inside. It worked out and we dated for 2 years and would have ended up getting married but before we could get that far, she got transferred out of state because of her job so we ended up breaking up.
But man, don't let a football team rivalry stop you from going after a good thing, because you never know, while you are hung up on this rivalry thing some other dude could be gettin your goods!! Since this is a football category, I'll put it like this:
Some other dude could intercept the pass and run it all the way back and get in her end zone! DON'T LET THAT HAPPEN!!
You be the guy on offense to KNOCK THE F*CK OUTTA THAT GUY!
GOOD LUCK!

It could work if you both realize that football is just a game and life has many aspects in which you will have agreements and disagreements. If your values are closely aligned then you'll probably be able to weather the storm of the day in late November.

If you're both mature enough to keep football in it's perspective yes. It's just a game. Much as both colleges want all your money for the merch you buy they really have no feelings for you personally. Remember that.

Yea, I think it could work, because really, if you look at it, osu and michgan are the same. They both suck...like really, even if you took the best players from both sides, the team put together would still be as bad as both teams are now.
