How can I clean an oxidize surface without damage it?

I want to clean some parts of my bycicle that are chromed

Get the sprey bottle of Zinc Oxide from the hardware shop. sprey it and then clean it with zero sand paper all vanish off.

I use steel wool on chrome to clean it. Brillo pads, SOS pads, and if you don't have any of those, then grade 0000 steel wool. Once you get it clean and dry, apply a wax to keep it bright and shiny. good luck.
