I wonder what would happen if an ordinary person was convicted of DUI and then drove with a suspended licence?

Instead of jail, however, I wonder if she should be made to 1) listen to 50 or so families bereaved by drunk drivers over a 45 day period and 2) work with people in rehab after being in accidents caused by drunks.

I have some experience with bereavement due to someone's bad driving: believe me, it is a horrible, traumatic experience.

I am thinking it could be some kind of publicity stunt for something. I want to know why nothing was done when her friend Nicole Ritchie wasn't arrested and sent to jail when she was driving down the highway on the wrong side while high and hopped up on marijuana and vicodin. She even admitted she was and nothing was done. Imagine if that was anyone else outside of celebrity status. Our lives would be ruined and probably spend the better half of it in jail. It is insane, I hope this jail sentence isn't just a publicity stunt and a real 45 days in a real jail and she is treated like all the other inmates.

I think she got what she deserved. She got caught driving under the influence, admitted to be drunk while driving, had her license suspened, knows her license was suspended but thinks she can drive for work related purposes??!! Any other joe schmo would've been jailed long ago for the same amount of time. Her excuse of "I have people that read my mail for me" is inexcusable. She's an adult who needs to learn responsibility for herself and others. God forbid she gets into her car one day after a night of drinking and hurts someone. Is that when she'll take resposibility? Money really doesn't buy everything, including the ability to recognize that you're wrong.

She shouldn't get special treatment. She thinks she deserves to be let go without any tickets but she is the same person as the rest of the world. She thinks she can get off easy because she is rich. She doesn't have a real job and she didn't become a celebrity. That sex tape made her big.

Her and her family need to wake up. She got what she deserved. Maybe she will learn from all of this. Too bad she won't be placed in general population. That would give her a great taste of the "simple life"

She deserves much worse. The fact that she can stand there saying "i don't deserve this" after she's been found guilty of reckless driving, drunk driving, driving without a licence etc just proves that she thinks she's above the law. I hope someone makes her their b*tch! And to top it off she tries to blame her publicist, twit.

Hopefully (but probably not) this will give her a greater appreciation of her freedom, a bit more respect for the law, and and long overdue dose of humility.
