Your best bet is to go talk to jag there and they will explain all of it to you on what you have to do....

yes they will know your married, especially if you are in the service and you have claimed your wife as a dependent.
Just go to Jag with the questions.civilian and military things
sometimes are so different, and in your case your over seas.
Does your wife know that you want divorce? If the feeling is mutual then she can file and both pay for it and it can be handled in the states that way.
GOOD LUCK

You can get a family member to hire a lawyer to
represent you in court for your divorce, however
you need a binding address of where your soon
to be ex lives so that he can serve her the papers
needed for the divorce. If she contests it then you
will probably have to take leave and go to Alabama
to meet with her in court since she contested it.

I doesn't matter which state you married in, it matters which state you live in while divorcing. In this case it would be your spouse's state of residency (if the ex is still in the states), or your home of record.
