You should stop having sex after 6 months. This is what my gynecologist recommends.

Everyone who said up until the water breaks is absolutely right. The only time that would not be correct is if your doc specifically tells you to stop for a medical reason. The other thing I was told was not to have oral sex during pregnancy. It was a long time ago but it was something along the lines of air getting in there and messing something up. I wish I could clarify that a little better, but that's all I really remember about it. But as for regular sex, go for it. That baby is very well protected in there and will be just fine :) Congrats!!

As long as you dont have any medical conditions and any complications with your pregnancy its okay to have sex until you go into labor. You doctor will tell you if there is a reason why you shouldnt have sex. You cant have sex for at least 6 weeks after the baby is born,.

If its not uncomportable for you or your Dr doesn't tell you to stop it's perfectly fine up until you deliver. Sex can jump start your labor but you usually have to be dialating and on your way to labor yourself. It can't make you do into labor just that quick. Labor is a long process and sex can sometimes help it along. If you have real concerns I would talk to your dr. He or she is the best one to inform you. They know about you and your pregnancy and all that. Congrats and good luck hope you have a happy and healthy baby

The only time you should not have sex is if either your doctor has specifically told you not to or after your water has broken (can cause an infection.) Otherwise, there is no "deadline" and you can have sex as much as you want for as long as you want.

They say you can have sex right up until you deliver! For some people that is true and for others they are a little more sensitive to that kind of stuff. I had sex in my third trimester and ended up having my son premature at 32 weeks. Like I said everyone is different though but if you are really worried just stop when your third trimester begins.

You can have sex until your water breaks. If your body is ready for labor it will help you go into labor and help with the thinning of the cervix but unless you are ready to go it wont hurt anything. Just don't do it once your water breaks or you can get an infection. Enjoy!!

you don't have to stop having sex at all as long as you've had no complications or bleeding in your pregnancy and as long as you not high risk.
the only time sex can make you go into labor is right at the end when you will want to go into labor anyway.

I was told to stop during my last month of pregnancy, and my doctor said it had nothing to do with sending you into labor, otherwise you couldn't do it all while pregnant. My docor told me that you start dilating in the last month and you dont want any foreign substance that could carry bacteria to get up there.

I had sex up until my son was born he was 4 days late. You have to stop once the baby is born...other than that its OK....there isn't a deadline
