The Dallas Mavericks were one of the three along with the Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs who was expected to win the championship before the playoffs started. However, with Dallas knocked off powerfully by the high surging Warriors, it sure does add new excitement to the playoffs this year.
I think San Antonio and Phoenix are the two favorite from the West but, I would not dismiss the Warriors but we’ll have to see how they fare against Utah. Will they keep their wining ways alive or will it vanish?
Then again, we should not dismiss the Detroit Pistons, the clear favorite for the East. They are a very good team and are very deep. They can certainly provide a good match up against San Antonio and Phoenix.
