I guess it's just the fact that this is one case where money couldn't buy her way out of a crime.

She's discusting. She deserves to sit in jail for 45 days. Maybe she'll learn her lesson. And perhaps all celebrities will learn a lesson...that being a celebrity doesn't let you off the hook.

I'm not jumping up & down with joy BUT she needs to learn that life throws some curve balls & no amount of Money from her parents is going to get her out of it .. does she deserve to do 45 days??NO but she should do at least 30 just to see how other white collars do in prison .....she really needs to learn responsibality ...

I think people get excited about it because a lot of people are used to the rich and famous getting away for things that they probably shouldn't.

I think a lot of people think she's a joke and/or generally don't like her. They see her as "the badguy" and everyone likes to see "the badguy" go down.

It does not seem that the people around her have done much so far to help her become responsible. I think people are a little relieved to see her "reeled in" a little. She has been out there since she hit the cele scene.

it's great because she drove drunk, and only got a slap on the wrist in the first place. Then she drove without a license twice and got caught. She thinks everything is a joke. I don't feel at all sorry for her. It's not sad at all.

We like to see the celebrities we put on a pedestal come crashing down. It's like driving by a car wreck. It's human nature.

Plus she is a prissy little girl - who thinks she can do whatever she wants without their being reprecussions!

I don't really care if they let her walk, or give her the chair for it. The really unfortunate thing about all this is how much more publicity she will get out of it. I'm sick of seeing her face on TV.

they are happy about it because no one including myself did not think that she would have come down a couple of notches & pay the penalty for what she did . no matter how much money you have or who you are , you should pay the penalty if you break the law . i think it was a fair sentance . i wish her luck .
