We (me, husband, 4kids) moved from last house because activity progressed from occationaly at night to every night and violently shaking doors in broad daylight! Now, we are in new house and it seems to be starting again! Only small noises, whispers, and light touches. We are nervous and don't want it to become like it was before. Can 'something' folllow from one house to another? What is it and how can we stop it from esculating?

Seriously, seek psychiatric/medical help before you move again. It will be much cheaper.

The thing that "follows" you is your own brain. There may be a medical explanation.

4 kids? Could be sleep deprivation. Mild hallucinations are a classic sign that you're half asleep on your feet.

Another possibility, one or more of the kids is having fun scaring you. Or one of your kids wanted to leave that home, that hometown, or that school, and has found a way to get the family to move by scaring you with bumps in the night. Talk to your kids and see if any of them have a reason to need to escape, bullying, peer pressure, school pressure, etc.

If it's still happening, buy a video camera and tape it. You'll make a lot of money.

Parapsychologists used to believe that poltergeist activity was the result of a haunting by a ghost or entity. Many Parapsychologists now believe that this type of activity is centered around a living person, not a disincarnate entity. The fact that this "thing" has followed you from one house to another supports this hypothesis. Ghosts tend to be tied to a specific place. Poltergeist activity tends to be centered around specific people. Most likely, one of your children (usually a girl who is just starting puberty) is developing psychic ability and it is manifesting without her conscious control. Often, the activity is directed toward an authority figure, usually the father. No offense, but what is your and your husband's relationship with your children? If there are unresolved issues that are manifesting in the form of poltergeist phenomena, then addressing those issues should solve the problem. So, work on your relationship with your children, and encourage communication as a family. I would suggest getting into family counseling. Find a counselor who is open minded about this sort of thing, and go as a family.

Ah, now that you've mentioned 4 kids... it actually does give you something interesting to think about...
Most famous cases of Poltergeist activity involve children (usually those who are about to enter puberty)...

Many researchers believe that poltergeists are actually formed from the psyche of a living being who is undergoing stress (for example a teenager that just had a big argument with their parents). A poltergeists' main target is usually an adolescent, most commonly a female (because of all the physical changes females go through, rather than the emotional changes males do, which causes for more stress). Even though the target may not consciously be feeling upset toward the person/people (usually an authority figure), they are subconsciously upset and that is where the poltergeist comes in.

I think this is the only way a Poltergeist can follow you from one location to another...

What can you do about it?
You can perhaps develop a stronger bond between your kids and yourself, or maybe unwind a bit. Stress is not aways great to deal with... so enjoy some hobbies, a break or some time alone every once in a while!

You mentioned that you have 4 kids - any of them at the age of puberty or teens? Many times poltergeist activity (when reported) is somehow attached to a teen. It is either an entity attached to your teen (for whatever reason) or it is your teen themself(ves). The latter is the more likely of the two scientifically speaking. Teens have a lot going on emotionally and hormonally. There is speculation that poltergeist activity is not a spirit at all but the outward manifestations of a teen's emotions through telekinesis or psychokinesis - they may not even be aware they are doing anything. This is all documented and this theory has been researched by the Rhine Research Center in North Carolina for over 70 yrs. If it's not a hoax (your kids messing with you) and it's not natural causes (the wind, settling floorboards, sleep deprivation, etc.) then this is a likely explanation. Find out what is upsetting your kid(s).

Yes, spirits can follow you from one house to another. They often attach themselves to a person or object. We have Arthur, a 13 year old boy, who has traveled with us from house to house over the last ten years and even followed us across the country. He's a good kid, really, even if he's been dead for 30 years, and a bit of a prankster. Things disappear then reappear where they should have been before, things that are perfectly stable suddenly fall over . . . stuff like that. I've also felt my dad nearby sometimes and he passed three years ago.

To get this ghost to stop, what you need to do is send the kids off for the day, and you and your husband tell this ghost/spirit/entity that it's not welcome, and that you won't have your life disrupted because some spirit from beyond the grave is having a snit. If he/she/it calms down and doesn't bother anyone, they can stay, otherwise, they can get out.

If that doesn't work, I'd try this: two black candles (absorb negative energy), two white candles (give off positive energy) and a wodden broom that you don't use (new, preferably). Light the candles, black then white, then sweep east to west without touching the floor, and take the energy out the door. Make sure you go through the whole house. Close the door, but leave the broom leaning against the wall next to it to keep it from coming back in. Let the candles burn for a bit, until they're almost gone, then blow them out and bury them. Sounds odd, but it works.

If that doesn't, either, call a contractor to come look at your house. There might be something structural that you aren't aware of and would have to be repaired.

Good luck, sweetie, and I hope that helps . . . even a little.

PLEASE, HAVE A SPIRITUAL AWAKENING AND ASK GOD TO COME INTO YOUR HOME. IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH ONE OF YOUR FAMILY IS HAUNTED OR EVEN CHANNELING THIS ENTITY IN. I WOULD CONSULT A CATHOLIC PRIEST OR BISHOP AND GET THE HOUSE BLESSED. THEN, IF NEED BE THE CHURCH WILL GO FURTHER FROM THERE. THIS IS NO DEITY TO TAKE LIGHTLY. MORE TROUBLE CAN ENSUE. I HOPE THAT YOU HAVE SOME CROSSES AND CHRISTIAN MEDALLIONS OR A CRUCIFIX OR ROSARY TO PLACE IN YOUR HOME OR AROUND YOUR NECK. PRAY TO JESUS AND ASK HIM TO BE YOUR SAVIOR, IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY. THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL ARE EASILY RECEIVED BY NONBELIEVERS.
I MENTION SEEKING THE CATHOLIC FOR HELP BECAUSE THEY ARE THE MOST LIKELY SOURCE TO ACTUALLY ACT UPON THESE ALLEGATIONS. THEY HAVE FOR CENTURIES DEFENDED THIS EVIL WITH THE GRACES OF GOD AND HAVE PREVAILED.
GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE YOU GET HELP SOON. IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT CONTACTING A PRIEST CALL ONE OF THE LEADING PARANORMAL INVESTIGATORS. THEY CAN AS WELL LEAD YOU TO HELP AS, THEY ALSO OFTEN USE THE SAME SPIRITUAL CLEANSING RITUALS AS THE CATHOLIC.

There are many confirmed instances of poltergeist activity occuring. Usually it has been found to be either children or young people in spirit, who wish to be noticed. The activity can take many forms, but often includes noises, objects moving or being thrown and doors opening and closing.

It is not unknown for the phenomena to occur again in a different location after the affected person or familly have moved, however this is quite unusual.

Probably the best way to deal with the problem is to contact your local spiritualist church, or a local medium and request their help. It is always safer when trying to clear a house of psychic activity to have someone around who knows how to set up protection and also how to encourage the spirit to move on.

If you are in the U K you could ask the psychical society for help or contact me on 07977121947.

Good luck and may your God be with you.

Hi, yes they can follow you.Actually it's something that your taking with you.I'm sitting here with goose-bumps,just thinking about this. It was something my Mom bought at a Garage sale, or at least we think it was. Mom moved two or three times, and it always seem to be following her. Well, this one was a really nasty one. Real scary. It got worse and worse. We all got together and had a Seance, and a Big ,Black form ,of a man,or something kept right behind our Mom. We ,(my other sisters and me) got so scared! You could tell whatever it was, was very evil.We immediately stopped the Seance. We never told Mom about that thing. We finally figured out that Mom had bought a old photograph portrait at a garage sale, and we think that's where it originated from. We don't know for sure though, maybe our sisters spirit brought it. Anyways, think of what you have picked up from somewhere other than your family. I don't know if this helps you, I hope it does, and keep saying prayers aloud before you go to bed.Don't let it know you know somethings there, if it knows, it might grow with that knowledge. And don't let your kids read this, I wouldn't want to scare them, or think it's a game. It's not. It's a true thing. Good Luck Bye.

It's a demon and it's harassing you. You or your husband have opened the door for this thing to follow you. Sometimes objects that have been used in rituals or rites have demons attached to them and they will go where that object or item goes. Don't be deceived...this thing is not harmless.
If you are a born-again Christian you have authority over this demon and can command it to go in Jesus' name. You can also ask the Holy Spirit to show you any objects that you need to get rid of and any areas in your lives that you've opened to allow this thing to harass you, ie ouija board use, tarrot cards, palm reading, etc.
If you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior you have nothing to fear. He died on the cross for your salvation and was raised from the dead so you could experience freedom from sin and harrassment from the devil and his demons.Rom. 10:9-11; Luke 9:1, Luke 10:19; 2Timothy 1:7.
Again, this is demonic! It is not there seeking your help or anything else. It's there to harrass and ultimately destroy you and your family.
