God. He is there for me even when I am falling away from Him. He Loves me no mater what I do. Who else do you know that would take on all the sins of everyone in the world because they loved them?

He is Amazing!

What you have heard is called "Prosperity Gospel" where people believe that if you have enough "Faith" then nothing bad can happen and you will only have good things happen to you. This doctrine has become rather main stream with people like Joel Osteen preaching on television and others like Oral and Bob Roberts. This doctrine has no foundation in the scripture either. In fact scripture will prove the exact opposite. Jesus promises the "world" wil hate us just like it hates him, and we are promised persecution as well. So to ask how can I rejoice in the trials is a very good question and a valid one at that. First you have to know what there is to be joyful about. Once you know what you have to be joyful about then it is just a matter of "meditating" or pondering these things, focusing on Christ, and yielding to his Spirit. For example... My wife's grandmother died a week before Christmas. My grandmother had a near death experience the day after Christmas, My 27 year old cousin is in the hospital in the final stages of CF, and things don't get much tougher than that. The only thing that keeps me "giving thanks in all things" is knowing that my hope is not in this world or anything that I or anyone else can do. My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' Blood and righteousness. Knowing this and resting in the promise that "he will never leave you nor forsake you", and that he also suffered, was despised and rejected gives me great comfort and an overwhelming since of Joy. I think of the hymn writer who had just lost his wealth, then a few weeks later lost his 4 daughters in a shipwreck but still pened the words to IT is well with my soul. Remember that we do not Rejoice because of all things but rather in, or better put During all things, knowing that it was Christ who was dead, burried and ressurected to purchase a place in heaven for us and will one day receive us unto himself for eternity! If that thought alone doesn't give you joy, or light your fire so to speak, then your wood is all wet! LOL I'll pray that God shows you the truth of this wonderful spiritual discipline!

I am lucky enough to have two women. Both of which I love more than anything. In two different ways. One is my best friend in the world. The other is my beloved sweetie. Both of these angels have been beside me through allot.

When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree,
There will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is
Still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be. Yeah
There will be an answer, let it be.

And when the night is cloudy,
There is still a light that shines on me,
Shine on until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be,
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
