No. France is still France, and I don't see how it will give up being big-government socialist and it still thinks that it is culturally and politically significant on the world stage.
Sarkoczy won't be changing anything significant, except maybe he won't be a corrupt anti-American putz like Chirac was.

France has always been a great allie from the beginning of our nations history.
The problem is that at times these nations get hijacked by anti-war anti-conservative nutjobs and become useless to allied forces.

It would seem that US citizens should see France as having taken a step towards repairing US-France relationships. Why in the world is this not a positive for all Americans?
I do not think it should be over-stated. But it sure seems like US Liberals are against the notion of other nations being pro-US.

Well didnt you hear? France elected a "pro Bush conservative". Now of course their version of conservative is highly different than their version of conservative and pro Bush just means he won't snub the President like the other candidate, but please dont trouble them with facts. They elected a conservative socialism sucks they love France again.

I dont know, Im conservative, and I really dont care because France hasnt been supporting the US, and that is not cool. Next time they get invaded, we shouldnt support them. Suckers.
