vacuum both

well i have part wood floor part carpet in my house, before mopping i actually vacuum the wood area it makes mopping a lot easier since vacuuming gets rid of all the small bits and things. it would be the same for tile flooring. so i'd say vacuum the whole lot first and mop second.

Get a good caffeine buzz, put on some music, and do both!

OR if you must choose one:

If you walk across the floor and you walk out of your socks because they are stuck, then mop the floor.

If you can throw a handful of Cheerios onto your carpet and have so much debris you can't figure out where they went, vacuum.

Happy housecleaning.

Had that delima myself, so after I vacuumed the carpet, I just kept on a roll and mopped the floor too. Its easier to keep moving after you've already started and don't stop to think about it and you'll get both done.

Vacuum the floor while you have electricity. There might be none there when you are ready. Leave the mopping for later, at least then nothing can stop you from doing it. Or just do what suits your mood.

Mop ther floor! If it's nice where you are open some windows and enjoy the air and let the floor dry that much faster!

Mop the floor.

Which one is the dirtiest? Vacuum, it takes less effort.

Might as well do both and then you don't have to do anything tomorrow. Besides, once you get into the mode of cleaning, might as well keep on keepin' on.
