How happy and content was she with the way it was? Had you previously mentioned the furniture arrange before this? I think you should have text messaged her first but......BUT! Is it a 'cooler' arranged room now? Did she help arrange when you put the stuff in there? I somehow don't feel she will be MAD...maybe a little put out that you didn't mention it OR OR OR --- You can make it a real surprise if you put something new in there and then on the outside of the door put up a sign that says --- GRAND OPENING! SURPRISE! and then when she comes it will be in a FUN nature not a 'this is MY HOUSE' attitude. GOOD LUCKEE!

It depends on how you rearranged it. Did you rearrange it, taking note of the space that would be gained/lost? Did you cover anything with something? Did you put an appliance too far from an outlet? You would know your daughter's tastes, and her routine, and if you arranged it so that it'd be easier for her, she'd be a bit peeved, but glad that you thought of her.

Teenagers usually like their privacy and get upset when people invade it or touch things without them around. My sister's the same way! But it depends on if she's easygoing or not. Won't you call her and tell her about. You can always switch it back and try to rearrange it with her there next time.

Some 14 year olds are mad even if you don't do anything. I don't know your daughter but did she ever say how she didnt like the way her room was set-up? If so I think she will be pleasently suprised!

I don't think it will work...I liked it the way it was! If I don't like it I'll switch it back...but if you get to rearrange it how you want, then my door is going to be open every night, just the way I like it...deal? We'll try it.
Your almost 14 year old daughter.

She may not be mad at all, but don't you think the better idea would be to let her decide how her room should be arranged?
If she decides how it should look, she might be a little more concerned with keeping it neat and clean and a greater desire to come visit.

You are the parent. You paid fo the furniture, the costs of the house, etc. Be an adult and take charge. A 14 year old is still a child.

At I4, she will probably be mad enough to BITE NAILS into.! However, " you " are IN CHARGE of your Home.........! By the same token....She May Like It and Thank You. We never know about these teenagers today. Sounds as if she isn't in it enough to even care.
