You should not have gone to jail for defending yourself and your family in YOUR home. I would take this above the local police and go to the county sherriff's department. Call a local news station and tell them about all the problems and how your landlord and the police don't care, maybe they can help you to look into it. Call a lawyer!! If the landlord and the police both know that there is a problem they have to take action!! Do you have police reports stating when you were broken in on and when the tires were slashed? Get security cameras and put them up ALL over your apartment and if you park in ONE spot every night aim one towards that spot. If you have video evidence the police can not ignore that. I used to live in an area that was a good area, but had some HUGE trouble makers and the police didn't want to do anything, so I called the police all the time and got to know the officers and told them I was sick of the stuff I had worked hard for being destroyed, I also talked to all of my neighbors and we started a sort of community watch program; we lived in apartments and I was the manager for the 5 buildings my father owned, but there were almost 100 buildings in the community. We finally got the police to take us seriously and the neighborhood was finally cleaned up. Don't back down! Let them know that you won't take this anymore and you won't stand back and watch your stuff get destroyed! Take action, call anyone who will listen and call EVERYONE, news, politicains, local and county police, state police. I would also demand to know why self defence isn't allowed anymore. I sure as heck wouldn't let anyone just come in my home and rob me without a fight! Good Luck!!!

you need to move to another area. You should'nt have to deal with any of that. You should look for an apartment in a whole different area... i know thats easier said than done...but you should give it a go. Having to drive a little farther to work is better than not being able to drive at all because your tires have been slashed...or maybe your car stolen... good luck on this situation. :o) peace.

You are doing exactly what you should be doing as to the care of your dog. I would tell you neighbor that if she doesn't mind her own business that you will report her for the neglect and inhumane treatment of her dogs. Also tell her that dogs don't have to be in their yard to get their exercise. They can go to an off leash park or a nice long walk in the neighborhood. They don't have to be kept in the yard like you lazy *** is willing to do and call it exercise. Sorry about that last comment but it makes me made when people like that think they know everything when they don't know squat. Anyway good luck..

If the local police aren't responding, contact your state police. If it was me, I'd have to relocate, maybe even to another town because living life in fear is no way to live. You could possibly contact Legal Aid thru Health & Human Services to see what other options might be available to you.
You've made me even more thankful for our peaceful little town that I sometimes get bored with.

Have you ever called the cops? Have you ever filed a report? You need to do so. If you can, get visual evidence that certain people are committing these crimes and making your life extremely difficult. Take it to court if you have to. Something can be done. I'm not sure what it is, but give it your best shot to do something about this. You shouldn't have to live your life like this.

Sounds like you are either in a very lawless town or a really bad neighborhood. Sounds like you need to find a way out of your lease and find a better solution, like a house in a better part of town....

I read somewhere once that someone who had neighbours like yours just put a few drops of a stink bomb thru their letterbox everytime they went out..........they soon moved.
