I have been building computers for myself and family members for years and i know just about all there is to know. I live in a medium sized town and there is no computer stores or anything around here. I would like to sell the ones i build but do not want to get in any trouble.

I build and sell computers. Not a large scale, just when someone needs one. I use OEM OS and then they can install, or myself, other programs they need. If, you were to go full scale, you may need to get a Business name and License to buy wholesale and as always, pay your local sales taxes and at the end of year your State and Federal Income Tax and 100% of your Social Security.

Technically yes, but that is if you are making more than $8,000 a year on profit. Also, it pays to get a Sellers permit, because it allows you to get hardware for sale at a discounted price and no taxes. I did this for a while, but it was such a pain to keep track of it for taxes. I stopped using the Sellers permit and just went to best buy or wherever I could to find the best deal.
