That entirely depends on what you want to do.
Warriors = Tanks and decent damage dealers
Rouges = DPS they do little damage all the time, and it adds up fast
Hunter = Ranged expert with pets, rock both PvE and PvP
Priest = Healing, buffing, and some Shadow damage
Warlock = Magical hunters, with lots of DoT spells
Mage = Do huge number damage at range
Paladin = Warrior/Priest hybrid, a little healing, a little buffing, and some tanking
Shaman = Warrior/Mage hybrid
Druid = True hybrid, can play as any class, just not very well
With the expansion Faction and Race don't mean much, so pick what you think is cool for the class you have.
