Nothing wrong with you at all..when you double up on the pill, it will make you have a very long and unhappy period. I use to bleed for 2 weeks every time I forgot to take it and doubled up..sure cured me from forgetting. Double the drudgery.

I do the same thing and yes it is normal for that to happen. FOlow the instructions anddo not just stop because you have yoru pd. You have to just keep going and then dealwith having it twice that month. Set ur phone with an alarm tohelp you to remember. Make the alrm for a time you know you will be awake and somewhere you can take it. Kepp them on you in ur wallet or purse and that should help mostly. If you are still forgettign then consider alternate methods because it isnt good to mess with your lady parts like that.
-The patch (but it does have alot of health risks and is 50 a month)
-The neuvo ring (Boys willfeel it durring intercourse and it an fall out if it isnt placed correctly and 50 bucks a month also)
-Depo Prevera shot (weight gain can be the worse side effect from what I hear but the plus is you onlyhave to deal with 1 shot every 3 months)
there are others but thoes are the most popular

the bleeding is from taking the 2 pills at the same time, if you forget to take the pill, but remmeber within 12 hours of when you were supposed to take it, take it then then take your next as normal....if more than 12 hours dont take it just take your next tablet as normal and use another form of contraception for the next 7 days...When you have unprotected sex and you get the morning after pill it is basically a strong dose of the pill that you are taking which is basically what you have done that is why you are bleeding as the morning after pill can quite often give you your period...hope that makes thins clearer...( you should only spot for a few days then it will go away)

Depending on which pill you are taking, forgetting one is very bad or not too much of a problem.
Pills with low dose of hormones must be really taken regularly at the same time to be effective. Stronger ones are still effective if you take the next one within 12 hours.
light bleeding can happen when you are on the pill: if you read the package insert it will confirm you.

I have done the same thing forgotten to take my pill and take it the next day, you should be fine. as for the bleeding that could be because the pills you are on are not strong enough I changed my pills 3 times before i got the right ones for my system. but if the bleeding keeps up to long, you should go to yor doctor.

Dear Emily,
you are perfectly fine. i once took the pill and yes it may be hard to remember but when u do remember you should double up on them and take the ones you forgot. now this may cause u to bleed or get stomach cramps or even a headache but it wont hut u, and no u didnt mess up your cycle
Since you like many others forget to take your pill maybe you should get on the shot. once every 3 months and u dont have to worry about anything. and most time it wont make u have ur period at all. i am on the shot and i still have mine but it is VERY light and doesnt cause me any problems. Try Out the DEPO shot its very effective!
Thanks,

You actually took it the right way by taking the two together. Because you did miss a dose it is normal to have some bleeding. Also, you may want to change the bc type you are taking if you keep missing pills. There are weekly patches, weekly rings, injections etc that may fit your lifestyle better.

Set your cell phone or watch alarm to go off at the same time each day and take the pill when it goes off.
Follow instructions on the pill pack. You could experience breakthrough bleeding going off the pill pack schedule.

Yes that is normal. That's why it is so important to take birth control pills daily. You are supposed to take the birth control pills for three weeks straight, then the other pink, yellow, green, whatever color pills, are nothing but sugar to help remind you daily to take them. You start your period when the birth control is getting out of your system. This is really important for you to follow. Nothing is wrong with you........

You are fine.
The pill in itself can mess up your cycle. You will fall back in place next month. I know I am a man but my wife has been through this before and as a man when your wife tells you she is bleeding you get kinda freaked out. I KNOW CAUSE I DID, FREAKED OUT THAT IS!
Good luck and don't worry!
