Defogging CRV Windows?

Question

Does anyone have a foolproof way of defogging windows. Every time it
rains my windshield and eventually all the other windows fog up. It's
pretty dangerous. I can clear the back window with the window heater
but the side windows are a real problem.
Is there a good product that you can spray on the windows to stop this?
There doesn't seem to be a good way to clear them using the heater/ac.

Rain-X, the company that makes the windshield treatment also makes an 'Anti-fog' product that works great on interior glass and on eyeglasses. I've used it on my cars with great success. It should be available in most parts stores; the bottle that it comes in is black and it is about the same size as their yellow bottle of windshield treatment.

also, you can try cleaning the windows with vinegar and water. use 1 tablespoon of regular white vinegar to one quart of water and you'll get the windows cleaner than they've ever been. That will deminish a great deal of the fogging by itself.

The unit is so air tight that if you get in with wet shoes or clothes that moisture will wind up evaporating and the moisture will stick to the inside of the windows.

Now that we know the problem, the solution is to have the AC on and the air recirc button on as well. The recirc button is located in the lower portion of the fan speed dial closest to the driver. No matter what temp you have the setting the air that comes out of the vents will be DRY. The recirc will keep outside air from entering the vehicle and you will be removing the moisture from the air inside the car which will keep your windows clear.

My Aunt had the same problem with hers. She found out that if you leave the A/C button on regardless of if you are using hot or cold air that it will defog your window. A/C actually stands for Air Circulation and not Air Conditioner.

The rain X products work ok but when it comes time to reaply the product you should clean your window with vinager and newspaper so that it does not leave a film which would worsen the problem.

I have a 2000 CRV and when I bought it I was having the same problem. I now turn on the A/C regardless what the temp. is set at, this dries the air and clears the windows.

I'm sure you tried everything but are the side air vents directed toward the windows? Are they close? When on defrost, make sure air is going out of them.

But I'm sure you checked all that already. Rain X makes a product for fog inside the car. Tried it once. It's okay... but I felt it left kind of a haze on the windows and only diminished the problem.

I know this one!! .cloth washing up liquid and nothing else, small amount on cloth wipe inside o window and LEAVE it alone .Works on same priciple as shower mirror .okay?
