The "peace in our time" speech was made on 30 September 1938.
This is from 28th January 1939:
January 28. Prime Minister Chamberlain explained pursuit of rearmament. ("We cannot forget that though it takes at least two to make a peace, one can make a war. And until we have come to clear understandings in which all political tension is swept away we must put ourselves in a position to defend ourselves against attack, whether upon our land, our people, or the principles of freedom with which our existence as a democracy is bound up and which to us seems to enshrine the highest attributes of human life and spirit." London Times, Jan. 30, 1939, p. 8. )

Neville Chamberlain was a self serving aristocratic prat who appeased the Nazis. All he ever did was stall and stall and make speeches about peace in our time.
This was the same bastard who at the end of the Boer War took away the rifles from the black South Africans which had been given to them by Lord Kitchener for their protection, because as his lordship said, when the British Army moves out, the Boers will come back and kill you.
Neville Chamberlain, that unmitigating Nazi loving racist pig, caused the deaths of thousands of Back South Africans.
He also did his utmost in the run-up to WW2 to stop immigration to UK of Jews fleeting persecution. BASTARD. Write the word big along side his name.

He was relaying to the British people that they had peace in their time . A little more than 7 months later that "reality" would come crashing to the earth. Appeasement does not create the peace but usually only delays the inevitable strike becaus ethe one that has been appeased is holding all the good cards in the deck.

some human beings only don't have the needed stones to be commander in chief. Chamberlain grew to become into only this sort of guy, inspite of the reality that Parliament and the King ruled over his judgements. Such grew to become into no longer the case while Clinton grew to become into in place of work. He too, grew to become into incapable of pulling the set off while needed. He suffered such tension over his failed overall performance in Somalia, that he grew to become into by no potential back waiting to dedicate troops to attempt against. This did no longer discourage his violent sexual assaults on over a dozen women via fact 1969. i ask your self what they call that ailment? The jury remains out on Obama, inspite of the reality that he confirmed a gloomy reaction in the time of the pirate episode off the coast of Somalia, while it took 3 days to furnish the bypass forward to take action. That grew to become right into a no-brainer, yet he procrastinated for 3 days.
