The last few supporters of the war.......(crickets)........... keep using the argument that when we bring the troops home, the terrorists will follow them and attack us here. Those idiots really think there are no terrorists here? That they are not planning more attacks right now? That having our troops killed in a civil war amongst 2 groups that have been killing each other for 1400 years is helping fight this war on terror? Meanwhile the taliban is alive and well in Afghanistan. Al-qeada is recruiting in record numbers in north Africa. And to top it all of, Osama is still a free man. Do we need another 3000 Americans to die in a horrific attack to make America realize that we are on the wrong course?

Well, it's amazing to see that people living inside the US seem to be the less aware that 9/11 was (at least partially) orchestrated from within the country. There have been a lot of experts talks about it, with significant, undisputable proof that the two towers were blown from underground:
- if they had fallen because of the planes crash, they would never have fallen like they did
- the heat created by the fire and the time that passed before they collapsed were both too short to make such giants break down. This is an evident case of controlled demolition.
And there are many other things that don't sound right in this story. So yeah, I know that American people will think I'm a stupid ignorant and bla bla bla but one day you will need to face the truth. Or maybe you're waiting for another ghost plane to supposedly crash into the Pentagone and then disappear?

Do you need to have some of your relatives tortured or killed to wake up to what America is doing in the Middle East? There has got to be a better way to go about fighting terrorist networks than search and destroy - we would not like it if soldiers burst into our American homes and pointing their guns in our house - we'd say they are violating our rights. What makes us think we are somehow justified in doing it to them?
And do we even care that Iraqi civilians are dying? I can't believe what I heard Rep. Dana Rohrabacher say the other day - that if innocent people get tortured or killed, that is the price we have to pay for American safety!
What about their safety? How can you say that the American people are of more value than foreign civilians? Don't we hold these truth to be self evident - that ALL men were created equal?
America needs to be the change it wishes to see in the world. We need to heighten our own security without hurting other people.

The terrorists will follow them? That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Do the troops in Iraq make it IMPOSSIBLE for any potential terrorist to step onto a plane to the US, and then to make a bomb out of fertilizer (for example) and then use it against civilians? The troops there make the reality of America's gunboat diplomacy hit home every day for Iraqis and make them resent the US with every new civilian killed. They make MORE extremists and potential terrorists with every passing day. Iraq is the biggest recruiter Al Qaeda has had since the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

The reason why Al-Quieda is in Iraq is because it is very easy for them to kill Americans, also it is very easy for them to make us look bad by fueling the sectarian violence there.
The fact is, it is not easy for them to get here, we have customs, we have immigration services, and most terrorists would rather fight in Iraq than take the chance of trying to sneak into America, and potentially be caught.
There will be other attacks, of this there is no question, but the concept that leaving Iraq will make them "follow us home" is ludicrous.

Here is what I think:
I think that Afghanistan is a direct result of the 9/11 attacks, and that ANY NATION that supported those attacks -- including "our friend" Saudi Arabia -- should SUFFER. I think that I would like to see Osama Bin Laden forced to eat pig entrails on LIVE television.
But we instead diverted our attention to Iraq, let the will of our war become diluted in Afghanistan, let Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Yemen, and Pakistan's nuclear black market debacle slide; we HAVE NOT CAPTURED bin Laden, and we are involved in a bogus "war" in Iraq because Idiot King LIED to us.

No. When was the last time you stepped foot in Iraq? Perhaps I am making the mistake of assuming that all your facts and opinions come from media sources and not your own first-hand experiences.
Just another spew of all the garbage you hear, but do not see.

We don't "need" another attack but yes, America has forgotten the horror of the attack and how vulnerable we all felt as a nation. And I am afraid that something like that will happen again if we abandon Iraq.
