My own personal favorite quote regarding socialism is from Sir Winston Churchill: "The inherent vice of capitalism is the uneven division of blessings, while the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal division of misery."

Not all liberals are socialists. The only socialized thing I have seen work anywhere with any success at all is socialized medicine. As a government concept it fails miserably.

He is right. I actually think he may be more popular in the US even amongst liberals because most french cons would be more centrist here than in france.
