I am working in a small company .We have 30 Intel Chipset and 3 via chipset (PVM233 )computers.I have installed XPsp2 in all systems.But from some months in VIA systems PVM233 board computres are unable to install XP Sp2.I am able to install XP until CUI mode steps after restarting it is halting with XP logon screen.But perfectly I am able to install XP with out sercive pack.What is the solution?

You could try upgrading your chipset drivers before moving to SP2

IS that one fo the chipset numbers? I cant find a via pvm listed anywhere.. from the via mb site link below.
run the belarc advisor to get the actual and correct product name and number of the board.. then look at teh via link to find what your information

Strange one, I install tons of machines and dont recall seeing such problem.
I would suggest slipping SP2 into your XP CD and try that, feels like one of the original driver is conflicting. If you have anymore info, feel free to email me, I would like to find out the outcome of this one.
