I have owned 8 goldfish for the past two weeks and they have been in an 80g tank. 3 days ago the tank began to develop a milky color. This morning when I woke up I realized that the water has turned to a rosy color.
I don't really care too much about the water quality at the moment because these 8 goldfish have a date with my pond (today), which is over 3000g in the backyard.
Is it safe to transfer them into the pond in my backyard without harming the Koi that we have???

I would suggest you first transfer the fish to clean water to help preven the possiblity of moving the problem to your pond. Just use a bucket of freshwater the same temperature as your tank and net athe fish to the bucket. Try not to add too much of the tank water to the bucket in the process.

Try to not get too much of that water mixed into your pond. bag your fish, float them for 15 minutes, then add water from the ond into the bag with the fish and float for another 15 minutes. Let the fish acclimate to the new water. If your tank is sick, then you should treat the tank prior to releasing the fish into your pond...you could make your whole pond sick and it is probably bigger and will take more to treat. Good luck.
