Well, if you're serious about getting rid of it, burning it is the best way, as it will be completely destroyed. Then, make sure the ashes are discared well away from your domicile.

But, why? I broke mine and threw it in the trash when I was a kid, after watching an Evangelist on TV who scared the crap out of me. I regred it, though.

Ouija boards get a bad rap, even from people who should know better -- I know folks who use Tarot cards and pendulums, but wouldn't touch a Ouija board with a ten foot pole! They're not as dangerous or evil as everyone thinks they are -- if they are used properly! And that's the key.

If you are going to use a Ouija board for spirit communication, do so within a protective Circle. If you know how to "cast a circle" do so. If not, physically define your Sacred Space with chalk, salt, ground up egg shells, or a white rope. Secondly, invoke the God/Goddess of your choice to protect and guide the process. Thirdly, have a specific spirit in mind that you wish to communicate with. Angelic spirits can be contacted this way. Spirits of the Dead, though traditional, can only be contacted if they want to be contacted. I don't recommend summoning a "demon" or mischevious spirit deliberately through a Ouija board -- there are better and safer methods of communicating with and comanding these types of entities.

well if it is one you got from a toy store give it away or throw it away what ever. if it an actual witch board (usually made of oak with burnt lettering see if you can't sell it on ebay i know a lot of people who would buy one. however if you managed to curse the thing with your lack of knowledge when you used it and did not use protection spells or incantations then you need to take it to a wicca or witchcraft store and tell the person behind the counter (which more then likely a witch that you have this board and would like to discard it or give it to her. make sure you tell her that is has not been purified so she can do this herself.

You may wish to throw it in a river or throw it in a trash bin at a crossroad, some people even bury it, as a symbolic act of burying unwanted spirits with it. If you bury it beacause you messed up using it, better do it on sacred grounds.

Burning it too is a good idea. But do it out of your house please.

people tend to throw them away but, before you do that make sure that you ended the game til the spirit or whomever you were talking to said good bye. Try burning it. Because my cousin use to play with that when she was younger and she said it took her twice to throw cause it some how came back. She went to throw at a dumpster and the next day it ended up on her lawn the next morning. Scary but, you must end the game before disposing of it.

All the above people's replys are great, but it is not destroyed and demons can still move the object back to your house to try and get you to use it again, you have to completely destroy it by fire, so it cannot come back.
