You should be able to put the card in but you may have to go into the BIOS of the PC and disable the onboard graphics. If you cannot get the card to work you can go back into the BIOS and change to onboard again. Windows XP will install its own drivers for a Radeon 7000 but if you are looking to play 3D games on the PC then you would need to download and install the driver from ATI's website to enable 3D functionality as Microsofts driver doesn't provide this.

If it's a PCI video card and not a PCIe card, it should work in just about any computer as the PCI interface is essentially universal with desktop computers. The driver will probably be found by XP automatically, but you will want to get the driver from ATI at some point as the driver in XP will be old and glitchy.

Some boards only support limited AGP cards, in your case, you wont gain much as the 7000 is a low end card.

To download the drivers for the onboard graphics, download the drivers from www.asus.com.tw and navigate to your motherboard model, the drivers are listed.

XP should handle it, and if not, just download the driver from the net. If it won't work at all, you should be able to revert back to the onboard by removing the Radeon from the system and rebooting.
