This is a girl who has total disregard for the rules of our society.
She's built her fame on being a bad girl..
you just know It's going to make her very unhappy because she's not used to this. She couldn't buy her way out of it!
So do you think she'll come out a changed person?
The press today is saying this will make her more popular then ever?
I think this maybe the end of her fame?
after all what's so cool about a burn out who will never admit she needs help?

Who cares? The less I hear about Paris Hilton, the better.

How lying her family and surrounding is : "the sentence was unjust, Paris singled out because of who she is..."

What a nonsence, if any average unfamous person was given a sentence to 45 days, no one - and I mean no one - would pay attention to it and speculate whether it is too much or too little.

She gets all the attention simply because she is Paris Hilton.
I want to believe that the judge gave her a fair sentence not considering her name or wealth, but only the fact that she is a careless citizen, who broke the law, damaged someone else's property (according to the media) and endangered herself and her girl-friend in the same car (both without a seat-belt).

Wake up, Paris, you too have reponsibilities, and there is justice for all.

I at least hope that jail will teach her something in the end.

ABSOLUTELY !!! She has no real talent. She's basically the steotypical, DUMB, ditzy Hollywood blonde. This will just make her more popular than ever.

People follow her because she is such a loser and a burnout. Unfortunately, her face will be splattered all oevr magazines and tv while in jail. It's about some Hollywood jerks and losers got put in jail or had some major consequences for their actions (ie, Britney Spears is a drunk and reckless with her kids. They should be taken away from her)

Well, it will be good for me because it will contribute to keeping her out of the spotlight for a few weeks, if we are lucky.

Her, change? Who cares? Spoiled party girl/brat with no apparent responsibilities. It appears that a little discipline might not hurt her.

Did Martha Stewart change? Well, I have a little sympathy for her; as I see it, she compounded a simple error in judgment by covering it up. She would have done much better in the long run had she simply immediately admitted wrongdoing to the SEC.

Did Leona Helmsley [sp?] change? Well, I don't recall having heard of or from her since her release, so *that* part is OK. I'm certain that she's no longer discusses her tax situation in front of the help. ("Only the little people...")

Does anyone miss no longer having Tonya Harding in the news, for that matter?

John Wayne Bobbitt, anyone?

(Gee, It's a shame we don't have Nixon to kick around anymore...[smirk]) (Hey, HE said it that way, remember?)

I can't see her changing much. It likely will boost her fame. It seems that with that girl, the only way to make herself even more popular is to top the "sex tape" scandal. Drunk driving, and driving with a suspended license will do it. I bet she thought that it would be a cake walk and she would just pay her way out of it. haha. too bad for her. Her jail stay will probably be pretty cushy though even though it has been said that she wouldn't get a choice of jails. I can't imagine that anything has ever been uncomfortable for the Paris Hilton.

It will only add to her image. Look what it did for Martha Stewart!

As long as we have a society of doofi who see selfishness and disregard for others as something virtuous, people like Hilton will keep going as they always have. I really doubt that they will send hollywood royalty (?) to a REAL jail anyway. She will probably spend time at a country club with designer bars on the windows.

Actually I don't think she is prepared in any way to cope with prison, she may come out changed, but not in anyway that will profit either her or society. She will either lose all sense of decorum, in a display of "Idon'tcareness" or she will retire to Europe. Either way, with her money and family, she will always be in the news.
I just have doubts about her inner fortitude and social capabilities.
She won't be in general population, but she will be in a regular jail, with no special privileges. She was given more jail time than anyone else I have ever heard of for similar offenses. So in this case they treated her worse because of who she is. They want to make an example of her and I wonder if that's really fair either.

For all I care she can sit there for 10yrs. she needs an attitude adjustment in every aspect. I think she is a very bad role model for the teen girls Thankfully my 14yr old daugter feels the same way. I would be ashamed to have Paris for A daughter and knowing I raised her.

I hope it could be a lesson in humility for her,I doubt it though.I think she was jailed for her arrogant 'I'm above the law' attitude rather than the actual crime.Having watched some American traffic cops shows I am amazed how some people can cause mayhem across 3 counties and walk away with only a fine!

Yes, she should go to jail just like anyone else who drinks and drives and then violates their parole. what makes her so damn special. She is not above the law and no this will not affect her fame. It'll probably give her more fame...

Wolf, she will come out of jail and just act as if nothing has happened. And she will continue on the path she is on. These "silver spoon" kids - you know the ones who have been raised by nannies and servants and have never had to go without anything except parental love-- will never face responsibility as they have never known consequences. They do as they please and nothing happens. This will be Paris' first consequence and it will be interesting to see - but I think it is too late.. .. .. .. . . .
