In my opinion, luck is neither a chance nor any supernatural phenomenon.... it is simply that part of the complexity of the equation representing the outcome, which we are neither aware of nor thought of. Every outcome is the result of the causal factors. There are so many known and unknown causal factors for every outcome that we are never capable of understanding the complexity it creates... therefore many a times the outcomes appear to be illogical and we then ascribe the bundle of unknown causal factors to a phenomenon called luck.
So far as the outcome is concerned, it is never illogical, it is just that we can not always understand the totality of the underlying logic.
However, we relate every outcome to some individual's efforts towards it and when we find a lack of strong correlation, we ascribe it to the luck of the individual..... the truth is that except for very minor events, all important outcomes relate to many individuals and not just to one single individual. When everything is taken into account in totality, no individual would appear to be either lucky or unlucky as we deem it assuming one-to-one relationship between an outcome and an individual.

I have an uncle like this. Now in a nursing home, there was a time when he could play any carnival game and win it. Even the ones that were rigged. When he played cards, he always won. I often kidded about taking him to Vegas some time. Myself, I'm lucky if I win a two dollar scratch-off lottery ticket once a year.
But I don't believe God, or provedence has anything to do with it. Its just the way some of us are made.

I don't believe in good deeds of previous life. I believe in good deeds of this very life. One deserves what he gets. To find a better look, one should be able to look at events with wider perspective, plan out for things that are beoynd the scope too, make wise choices, etc.
All the best...

There is no such thing as luck as a supernatural phanominom. That has been shown scientifically.
Luck is focus. You get more of what you focus on. So if you focus on bad luck that is what you get.
So, If you want to be lucky focus on lucky things and good things in your life - that is total ramdom
PS - that will not will the Lotto for you.

LUCK IS CO-INCIDENTAL.
Behind every fortune there is crime.
"Luck in the sense of money" is nothing to do with GOD. Because with being mere rich no one is happy.
Other than human being there are millions & millions of creatures. But there is no luck; money, destiny or fortune in their world. Even though they are happy than us
It is our karma that we are running to nowhere, knowing nothing about the race and thinking about the distiny which never exists.

You answered it already by saying that "man makes his own destiny". But luck is what God offers to every body .It is the choice of the man to react in every situation that he is in. and the result follows as his fortune or misfortune including death and rebirth.

A recent study concluded that people who are said to be lucky have much higher observational skills than average people have.
It seems as though they may just be paying more attention to what is happening around them.

Those who just slept doesn't posses any luck. Atleast he should have tried some thing and he should have put a portion of work on that. Then only luck comes to his way. So, he deserves it.

Luck is subjective, just like "god".
Luck is merely a belief to account for the windfalls and pitfalls of life.
God is merely there to take the brunt of human dissatisfaction. Oh wait, that's the "devil". Never mind.
