Lame Duck is right. It will either be the current POTUS or the previous that is blamed (depending on how well liked the current commander and chief is). But I'd like to point out to Lame Duck that Bush is handling his (overly critical) criticism quite well. Laura Bush was interviewed a while back and she said, "....it comes with the job. And we were well aware of that when he decided to run...."

I've got news for you. The President of the United States is responsible for all decisions he makes. I'm sorry you think everyone's picking on poor, defenseless, delicate, fragile little George W. Bush - but that's part of the job, and he knew it when he took the oath of office. He was a political kid who grew up in a political family. His father was a highly-criticized President. He knows the deal.

When it was Clinton, everyone jumped all over Clinton.

When it was Bush I, everyone jumped all over Bush I.

When it was Reagan, everyone jumped all over Reagan.

When it was Carter...

Do you need me to go on?

This is the nature of national politics. So stop acting like George W. Bush is some poor, pathetic little nerd on a playground who needs to be defended from the big bad bully. He's the President of the United States. If he can't handle criticism, then he's in the wrong job.

I will still blame Bush cause whoever's in the White House then cannot be faulted for what the moronic two term Commander-in-chief plunged America into a wild goose chase.

Enough time must be given to the next President to make right what was wrong.

If there is anything the president has done that really needed doing it is the War in Iraq. It will continue until it is decided on the ground in Iraq regardless of what the democrats claim they will do.

2008 will be the conservative republicans year. You can feel it in the air. Hillary will be the democrats undoing. Mark my words; note the date and time.

The devastation of the Bush catastrophe will be felt for many years after chimp leaves office. The good news is the healing can finally begin on 01/21/09.

The residual damage caused by the most incompetent, unethical and morally reprehensible president in history will plague us for decades. So, to answer your question, we'll justifiably blame Bush and his henchmen.

Bush will get the blame because the repercussion of his actions as president will be felt for generations to come.

You cannot possibly be suggesting that the eight years of clusterfeck and criminal activity miraculously disappears because someone else steps into the White House?

Wow. No wonder your party is shot, if all of you are that stupid.
