First things first, where you planning to be a nursery teacher? At here, as a teacher, you earned as much as a civil servant working in a government as there's already been an increase of salary for teachers, civil servants, police, secretaries and many more. I must say, working as a teacher in my country, it's quite luxurious as we treat education the number one priority. I'm from Singapore by the way. Nice question though.

My brother is a Waldorf teacher in New Mexico. He spends 6 years with the same group of kids so he really knows them.. I don't like that. I have had the same kids for 3 years and I am ready for them to move on and see another viewpoint and input. I do like the way the curriculum teaches literature. Very strong as they spend a whole year doing a certain type of reading- very advanced. Kids are discouraged from watching t.v- good! Science program at his school weak. You need to do some reading about the origins and see if the school near you follows original methodology or not.
Not too many schools in this country so that may limit where you can live/travel!
