You won't be able to keep them together long. Shark catfish are Colombian sharks - these need to have a lot of salt in their water to live. As they get older, they need a marine tank. Your weather loach can't survive in that.

I do not suggest this. Your tank is too small to support a shark/catfish. You will end up either killing it or stunting its growth. Best case is it will survive with little stunting but you will need to find it a new home within 6-8 months. The loach is just going to hide most of the time or scurry around the bottom before ducking back into its hole. If you had a larger tank they would do fine together. (Larger as in at least a 30 gal). Good Luck!

I would say your shark catfish is going to get too big to live in a 14 gallon tank. you will then be stuck trying to find a LFS to take him off your hands, not to mention you may stunt his growth, i wouldn't do this.

Wow you said you were going to move it when it got bigger.

My catfish sharks don't bother anybody. They stay to themselves but I do have two. They are always together. I named them pea and pod. They have the same wiggle in uisone on the sides.
