The future mostly. It is hard at this stage in life not knowing where you're going and not knowing what you'll do with the rest of your life. Your character is just finishing development, but may continue to be influenced through high school and college. Relationships are a struggle. Looking and acting the way the media tells us we should is a struggle. Standing up for ourselves and finally breaking out as an adult is also a struggle. It is rare to see someone who thinks completely for themselves and acts accordingly and during the teenage years.

Hi Brenda....When I was a teen it was facing new schools and not knowing what to expect. And facing new students and what they thought of me such as making new friends. The peer pressure. Then it was the hormonal problems sky rocketing to where parents couldn't understand but just wanted to argue the issue. I imagine that teens have the same problems today as when I was a teen. Maybe even worse. Clothes weren't such a big issue then as it is today or shoes. We had our clicks to where if you were accepted you were if not forget it. Finding a job would probably be an issue today, since jobs are scarce not like when I was a teen. Have a great day!

The number one fear of most teenagers is to not be accepted by their friends. Second would be to not be able to find a boy/girl friend. Our society needs to teach teenagers that the best way to happiness is to focus on others, instead of themselves....then, perhaps our teenage suicide rates, and teen pregnancy rates could really go down.
