Most of the large firms would probably do this but you would need extra insurance and that could be very expensive even too expensive, if you are going to France why not try and arrange a car to be waiting at the air port, ferry port or train station where you will land, it would be better as the steering wheel would be on the correct side for driving in France.

Most competent rental companies will do this. It will cost a bit more, you will need a clean license, and will have to obtain continental breakdown cover. There will probably be a restriction so that if the car is impounded by HMRC you will have to pay the full value. This is to discourage booze cruisers

my husband hired one from afford , and went to switzaland ,clean licence a must , but try on the net by typing in rental cars for hire in your area they should give you the information on there web page if not give them a ring .good luck ,hope you enjoy your trip to france.
