I need to replace my head light bulb for my 01 Honda Accord. I have horrible night vision. I would like the best light I can get. What are my options? Thanks.

As others have mentioned, I would highly recommend Sylvania Silverstar Ultras. They retail for $40-50 USD per set, and they last a decent amount of time (just make sure you do not touch the bulbs with your fingers, as the oil from your hands will cause problems).

Here is a link to a photo of a car using regular halogens and the new Silverstar Ultras:

They are a bit pricy, but short of buying Xenon or HID kits for your car, which can be very expensive, these are the brightest, legal, white bulbs on the market.

you need to take a more practical view to this. start my removing the old bulb and have a look at it. it is a good idea to look at how it come out and what way up it goes. now for the bulb, it is all about the base, the plate that positions it and holds it in place, then it is the shape of the bulb glass and the wattage, it is likely to be a 55/65 watt, and 12 Volt, you can get larger size wattage bulbs but do not go to big. now you can start looking for bulbs, now you know what it looks like and when you pick one up you will know if it will fit or not and if you are not shore, take the old one with you.

The current crop of blue colored bulbs don't do anything for me. Keep the same wattage bulbs that way you won't burn out the wiring and relays. Just get the exact replacement and buy two bulbs keep the old bulb that works as a spair. That way you can look at the box and have the correct part number for your next pair. Old yellowed lenses can be buffed out with tooth paste. Discolored headlight lenses that don't polish out should be replaced expensive to buy.

Sylvania SilverStar Ultra or GE Nighthawk.

You can get them at major auto parts stores. The Nighthawk I have only seen in Wal-Mart.
