Great Q!! In the past when I have asked Q's...it really does depend on the category you place your Q, what kind of responses you will receive...I personally like P&S...ppl here have a sense of humor :) but have serious answers to the Q's that are wanting serious answers...This category really seems to have the best results for most Q's...in my opinion...

I suppose a plus would be for people who like LOTS of answers, & it seems to bring out much more humour than any other--so--good for some laughs. I don't know of disadvantages. I don't spend much time here. As for other categories, I have my favourites. One is awesomely controversial, yet the absolute "gems" I find are worth it. Ooops--you were asking about QUESTIONS! I hardly ever ask...but it can still apply to answers, yes? Maybe?
Edit: Goodness! I just discovered the disadvantages & I won't touch this with a foot pole! No wars, please!

It depends on what you're looking for. If I need some esoteric, nut-and-bolts answer to a question, like what gets cat puke out of a carpet, I'd go the the appropriate category. If I want to ask open-ended whimsical questions, this is definitely the place to be.

Advantages: The excitement of receiving an answer, making a boring work day enjoyable, and the hilarious answers - especially in P&S.
Disadvantages: Too many ignorant people makes it annoying sometimes..

i've asked the same questions in different topics and you get a varied bag of answers in both places. i don't think there is that much of a variance to take note.

if you place your Q at P&S,you get quicker answers and more answers then in any other category!
