Please give me a good reason why brains are more useful than beauty??

Question

What things can i compare with beauty and brains?
sorry, but i'm only interested in why BRAINS are often better/more useful than beauty.
e.g. advantages, jobs, guys, family etc

great if you can answer before wednesday, but if you answer after wednesday, it will still be helpful and i'd still appreciate your help =)

One good reason? I'l give you three.

Reason #1: Beauty fades.
Unless you want to be considered completely useless by the time you start to get wrinkles/your metabolism slows down/your boobs start swinging low, you'd better have some kind of intellect to offer society. Girls in their 20's can sometimes (although should never in my opinion) pull of the I'm-dumb-&-need-a-man's-help routine, but at, say, 50, it will begin to lose its charm.

Reason #2: No one wants a dummy as a mate.
You could argue that there are a number of guys who could really care less about smarts, but honestly those (idiotic) men are in the minority. I wouldn't go so far as to say an extremely unattractive girl could get any guy in the room based on her intellect alone, but I can definitely say that I've seen extremely unattractive people go home with people at bars based on their smarts/personality. Conversely, I've personally talked to men I found extremely attractive, but then when they opened their mouth and mindless drivel came out, I was immedietely turned off.

Reason #3: The job market isn't a beauty contest.
Although there have been studies suggesting that good-looking people advance faster/higher than their not-so-good-looking counterparts, it's not as if the hot people just walked in off the street and decided to have a career. In other words, brains are an essential part of the equation. It doesn't matter how slim your waist or how sparkling your eye if you don't have the credentials to qualify for a job. Have you ever heard of the cute yet mindless, dippy secretary eventually parlaying her looks into a CEO position? Neither have I.

The point is this: looks definitely can't hurt in your journey through life, but you can't solely depend on them, either. In the long run, brains are definitely more important.

Because a person that can hold an interesting conversation, manage their money, and continue to be promotable in their career will win out over good looks and an empty head every time. A person with brains can also get cosmetic surgery to close the beauty gap between them and the dumb beauty and be just as beautiful and twice as smart.

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever. Beauty is of two types. Outer type, related to age and make up + proximity. Inner beauty comes from a pure heart and is exhibited through the actions or acts controlled by the brain. Outer and inner both beauties are important in life, however inner beauty shall spread unrestrictedly - so more useful.

well, being smart obviously has advantages. you go to good schools (most likely, depending on what you wanna be) & you get good jobs. on the other hand, beauty has advantages too. you get guys & sometimes you can even get away with things. also, when you're pretty, you feel better about yourself. it's good to have both, but that doesn't come around too often. treasure what you got. it may be more useful in the future =)

cause when you don't see just a pic you see what we call charming and charm has to do with personality! if you start talking and you are stupid like hell you look really ugly after a while cause you are not charming at all! also your eyes look much better when your look is smart and not like cows are looking ;o) personality comes first and stays longer! beauty it's just for the first impression and is of course very important but no the most important ;o)

Yesterday i was in the dumps.I am from North-East India.Girls from there are known for their attractive looks and fashion sense.Well fortunately or unfortunately i dont fall into the same mold.My boy friend finds them cute,Speaking out loud, i was complaining 'why am i a bit dark while they are wheatish, why am i not pretty and pitite like them'....my boyfriend heard me.He replied with a smile 'Why are they dumb and you are not'.. :)
That says it all i guess :)

Look at it this way... if your sitting in an exam room lets say your having the most important exams in your life, its not your beauty that's going to help you pass exams, its going to be your knowledge that will get you through it!
