I love The Smiths. Morrissey is ok but i prefer Smiths.

christ thats a great question. i love them both. Morrissey has had some fantastic singles but The Smiths with Johnny Marr on guitar just has the edge i think...that guy can really play...

Johnny Marr!
Morrissey has the biggest ego problem ever, with the whole crusading vegetarian thing and the asexuality. He's an attention seeking nutter!
Marr made the Smiths. It'll be interesting to see how he fares at Modest Mouse along side another attention seeking (in a better way) nutter, Isaac Brock!

The Smiths. Morrissey without Marr, Marr without Morrissey..... need I say more.
Stephen Morrissey was a poet and Johnny Marr was a musical genius who was able to write music to poetry.
Morrissey when he went solo, started to write lyrics. It was his downfall. That said, Viva Hate was his one and only solo masterpiece.

I prefer The Smiths.... But Morrissey is cool as heck on his own, too; that crooning voice and the hair. *Swoons*
