Atheists don't specifically embrace homosexuality. I know some atheists who are huge homophobes (is that still the pc term?). Many Atheists and Agnostics do find themselves more accepting because they don't have some guy (I do not mean God/Jesus, I mean these religious leaders, plain old guys, just like us) telling them what to think. Yes, the bible say whatever it says, but it has been interpretted millions of times. Starting way back at the first time it was translated (the words chosen for a translation can drastically change a meaning). Didn't God/Jesus say to love your neighbors? Who are we to judge eachother? What puts any human on the same level as God or Jesus? I believe the book says over and over again that God will do the judging. Not some mere mortal here on earth. Live and let live. Get your message out there if you feel your convictions are strong enough, but let God be the one placing people into "the big furnace." Who's to say that we mortal humans aren't offending God by passing judgement ourselves, in his place, and therefore, sealing our own place in the furnace as well.

Thank you for your loving display of God's grace for all people. There is nothing like seeing Godly people being an effective witness for the Lord and not being self-righteous, hypocritical Pharisees. Your statement very much reminds me of words from another loving person, Rev. Jerry Falwell. Here is one of his famous Christian quotes, bursting with love from God:

"[homosexuals are] brute beasts...part of a vile and satanic system [that] will be utterly annihilated, and there will be a celebration in heaven." Jerry Falwell: Quoted in Jim Hill and Rand Cheadle, "The Bible Tells Me So", Anchor Books (1996), Pages 69-70

No, but I have noticed how people who claim to support and have the approval of some sort of "Supreme Being" get their jollies verbally bashing others who don't believe as they do in direct opposition to the "scriptures" of that "Supreme Being" they claim to champion. That attitude is what turns them from a religion into just another hate group.

You aren't qualified to "measure" anyones "morals". You have to actually have them to be able to recognize them in others.

I knew an atheist who hated homosexual people. So I have a question for you: Have you ever noticed how people tend to think all of one group are exactly the same but there are always exceptions?

Yes, I have noticed that; atheists are much more in tune with what is correct, decent, and moral. It seems that they follow the teachings of Jesus much more and better than the Christians do. Maybe one day some Christians will learn from them!

have you ever noticed that religious fanatics are so full of hate and condemnation - grow up get educated - what I do in my room in my home has got absolutely nothing to do with you. The moment you embrace people of difference the moment you will be more like Jesus. get over your self righteousness

You shouldn't measure or judge, remember judge not lest ye be judged.

Judging is a sin too y'know, as bad of one as any other.
