The most piquant longing for forbidden fruit lies in its being forbidden.
One may flirt and fantasize, as long as nothing comes of it.
Once tasted, it becomes an everyday taste

I feel that it is the best tasting fruit until after you've tasted it because then you realize that its not so different than the fruit you were already allowed and then comes the daunting task of worrying about what happen if your allowed fruit wont have you back and your forbidden fruit doesn't want you

The forbidden fruit is usually either melon or peach.

I myself crave for a peach (not a fuzzy one though). Yes, why not a succulent glorious peach?.. I've even written poems dedicated to peach...

One of them mentioned:

I yearn for the forbidden fruit
play it for melodies like a flute

Hey gives me an idea....my kids won't touch fruit (or veg). Where do I get the forbidden ones? I'd do anything to get them to eat their five portions a day.

I don't think so. Besides, we don't crave for the taste. We crave for what the fruit can do to us.

you ask some really strange questions, if you are talking about actual fruit there arnt any that are forbidden. if you are talking in general, we all want something we cant get or afford, and if we do get it, it makes us feel superior to others and we then want more to keep us feeling good about our selves.
if you dont have something you wont miss it... thats my policy.

I can guess it is the thrill of the chase. Just to see if you can take something from someone else. I wouldn't know about the taste, never tried it. Seems a little childish to me.

It is human nature to crave what we can't or shouldn't have. Taboo things tend to get the blood rushing and heart pounding. It is also these things that have the most costly of consequences.
