In your opinion....
What do you think evolved over the years to put the student in such a state of mind to follow through with such acts?
In my opinion, I feel the evolution of the violant, bloody, video games kids get the feel for killing by the actual animanted acts to shoot to kill. All of the rap crap and evil lyrics that also can play a part in the mental state with possible subliminal messages. Last, but not least, their home life. Is their home life a solid structured atmosphere? Being brought up with values, love and respect? What other factors do you feel could be contributing to the deadly acts of today's mentally deranged teens who kill classmates, then in most cases, themselves?? There has to be a root to the problem here!

I think it's a load of bull to blame music, movies and computer games. The people that are balming them are the ones who haven't got the balls to stand up and say that the parents are to blame. They're either not giving their child the love and support they need to make them into well rounded individuals, or they're not being alert enough to what their child is going through that would set off such a reaction. And, with all due respect, who the hell lets their kids have access to what basically amounts to a small armoury without having any suspicions?
I have a five year old and an eight year old who listen to My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Fall Out Boy, and we are a single parent family. Does that mean they're going to grow up screwed in the head? No they will not, because they have been taught the difference between right and wrong, they have a strong support network at home and they are allowed to express themselves freely. The parents of the kids that go into a school with the express intention of shooting whoever gets in the way need to look a bit closer to home before slinging the blame at everyone elses door
