disappointing
I really enjoyed Spider-man1 and 2, they were good films. I think they threw it away with 3, goodness knows why. I think it was put together badly and the script was poor. All the ideas were there, but it really let us down on this theme of a 'battle with the dark side', which was a damp squib.
Maguire has been brilliant as PP/Spidey, but this one didn't do him justice. The hammy SaturdayNightFever stuff was really laboured and one-dimensional. Franco has been carrying-off the emotionally weak Harry, but he didn't really come across plausibly this time. MJ has never been much of a character, so not much change there.
Some say that the revisionist history of Marko-Sandman and Uncle Ben was a plot outline too far; I wonder if it was necessary.
The Spidey/Harry banter during the final battle was unbearable.
All in all, it lacked the wit and continuity of the first two: it didn't hold together well, which made the length of it just too long and my son fell asleep.
Flop? Box-office may have got everyone in on the strength of the first two, but who would go back and see it again? I hate to say it, but it was a bit of a turkey.

I was really bored and disappointed with Spidey 3, even thought I really liked the first two movies.
VERY poor script, Tobey Maguire was awful (he'll fake-cry his way out of any scene, won't he?), the character of MJ was just irritating as she has always been. Also, for what was supposed to be unashamedly an action film, there wasn't very much action (where did that enormous budget go??) Also, there seemed to be REALLY long segments of bad acting and weak storylines.
All in all, I think Spidey has been left behind by the likes of Batman Begins and Superman Returns - both movies that took the title characters back to basics, made them more believable and edgy. It seems as though superhero films need to be more sophisticated now, and in that respect, Spiderman actually took a step back. The only redeeming feature of the film was Topher Grace who was great.
Another quick rant - how did Sandman manage a tear at the end? Where did the water come from?

Are You Kidding?!! As a lot Of A CashCow those Spider-Mans' movies Are? No way Is It The final One!! Spidey ought to be recast As Spider-guy(Like interior the James Bond movies) And Toby McQ. ought to stay in some unspecified time interior the destiny. Then he gets replaced.

Went to see it on Saturday afternoon, and thought it was boring to be honest, some scenes in it were enough to put me to sleep almost, Spidey 1 is defo the best of the 3 of them.

Spidey 3 is the best amng 2 others because of more sophisticated CGI, better story telling, & more moral values.
