Don't worry about your GCSE's. During your 2 year course in Years 10 and 11 you will be taught everything you need to know for your exams. Also, the curriculum is constantly changing so no-one knows which texts you'll need to study yet anyway.

If you do want to know more about Room 101, try reading 1984 by George Orwell. However, the best way to improve your English skills is to read a wide variety of fiction and non - fiction. As you are only in Year 8, I would suggest going to you local library and having a look at the Teen section to find some books to start you off, then you can build your way up to reading more adult texts like 1984.

You have a couple of years before you need to focus on your GCSEs so try to enjoy your education while there is still no pressure on you. The fact that you are even interested and asking this question suggests that you have an enquiring mind already, and will do well when the time comes.

Good luck!

I think before you attempt to answer the question, you will need to give your English spelling a brush up! Spelling mistakes by the score, not a capital letter in sight and this vulgar use of phonetic spelling!
You could try reading George Orwell's book "1984" - room 101 was the dreaded place, full of horror, for which there was no escape.
More recently the B.B.C. (British Broadcasting Corporation) televised a programme called "Room 101" in which celebrities would describe things which they would assign to Room 101.

"You asked me once," said O'Brien, "what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world."
Room 101 is a torture chamber in the Ministry of Love in which a prisoner is subjected to his or her own worst nightmare. Such is the omniscience of the state in the totalitarian society of Nineteen Eighty-Four that even a citizen's nightmares are known to the authorities. The nightmare — and therefore the threatened punishment — of the protagonist Winston Smith is to have his face eaten by rats. Smith saves himself by begging the authorities to let his lover, Julia, have her face

It refers to a room used to torture and interrogate people who try to stand up to Big Brother in the book "1984". By the way if you dont understand your teachers tell them, or they will just assume you do understand. Dont be afraid of looking stupid in front of the class, chances are the rest of the kids are as puzzeled as you, and also too afraid to ask.

Its from 1984 by George Orwell. Its basically a torture room that works by sticking whatever you fear most right in your face so you betray everything & everyone to save yourself, thereby destroying yourself too.
