Yes, they are allowed in the NBA. John Amechi said he knew a couple of them in the league that were gay but will not come out of the closet because of the harassment it would create for them. Charles Barkley said he knew of a couple of gay men when he played ball. So yes, they are allowed in the league.

I think if they are 'physically man', they are allowed even though they are gay. However, haven't seen any queer NBA player yet.

I have never heard anything against it, but I have had my suspicions about Rip Hamilton on the Pistons. I see no reason why there would be a restriction on sexual orientation though.
