4 inch heels are just the starting range of HIGH heels.
Basically, flats are flats as you know
Then, 1 inch to 2 inch heels are low-heels, 2 inch to 3.5 inch are mid-heels and anything above 3.5 inch onwards are considered high heels. (as described by shoe manufacturer and ebay)
Anyway, you can get any shoes easily ranging from flats to 4.5 inch heels but anything higher, you have to order through the internet. As you might have notice, are prominent and expensive labels always sell HIGH heels and most Hollywood actress/singers just wear 4 inch heels.
I would say 4 inch heels are not high if you would have started wearing 2 or 3 inch on a usual basis before moving into higher heels. Cheers and happy heeling.

Yeah there is such a thing as 4 inch heels. I own a few pairs.
There are heels that go up to 8 inches, but that's getting into fetish wear.

You can buy them all over the place. Just do a google search on 4" heels and see what you get. And no, there is no such thing as heels that are too high.

In fact, there is. I have a 4 inch heels and it's very thin. I only use it for dinner parties, wherein walking isn't involved that much. I can walk though in 4 inch heels, it just takes time. But if you're not that short in height, then i suggest use 2 inch heels or better yet, comfortable flats.

I think they go up to 6 inch, but you shouldn't wear a shoe unless you can lift the heel an inch off the floor when you're wearing them (with the toe touching). If you can't, then they're too high and you can really hurt your feet!

lol, there are more than 4 inches, theyre are all kinds of heel sizes, i mean i love heels! i 5'11 and i love to wear 2 inch heels, but yeah i think 4 is a little to high, but its good for the short girls out there (*and guys* ;) lol)

My Japanese gal has 4" getas. I see 4" and 5" heels in Frederick's of Hollywood catalogs. Check their website.

There's definitely such a thing as 4 inch heels, although they're typically more fetish-y/drag queen shoes.
